The project stems from the desire to create a welcoming space where architecture becomes an extension of the landscape. Through a composition of clean, open volumes, the hotel establishes a constant connection between the built spaces and nature, creating an experience of tranquility and connection with the surroundings.
Vegetation is the central focus of the design. Gardens, courtyards, and green pathways accompany visitors from the moment they arrive, providing privacy, thermal comfort, and an atmosphere that transforms each space into a place of contemplation. The presence of trees and native species enriches the project, allowing nature to become an integral part of the architectural experience.
The choice of materials reflects the region’s identity through the use of chukum finishes, natural stone, and surfaces in neutral tones. These elements provide texture, durability, and a timeless aesthetic, while natural light highlights the qualities of each material and creates warm atmospheres throughout the day.
The common areas were conceived as open spaces for socializing and relaxation, where the architecture frames the landscape and facilitates a fluid flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. Every corner seeks to offer a serene experience, prioritizing the human scale and constant contact with nature. This boutique hotel represents a contemporary vision that integrates design, materials, and landscape into a single architectural language, resulting in a space that reflects the essence of Mérida through architecture that is sensitive, functional, and deeply connected to its context.
